South African President Cyril Ramaphosa met in Pretoria Friday with HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani.
During the meeting, the foreign minister conveyed greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to President Ramaphosa and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of South Africa. For his part, the South African president entrusted the Foreign Minister to convey his greetings to the Amir and his wishes of health and happiness to him as well as his wishes of more progress and prosperity to the people of Qatar.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and means to promote them in addition to a number of topics of mutual interest. President Ramaphosa praised the bilateral relations, expressing his aspiration to promote the level of partnership between Qatar and South Africa. The foreign minister stressed the depth and strength of relations between the two countries.
