It is organised by DCINY who work directly with composers including Sir Karl Jenkins, Bob Chilcott and Eric Whitacre, and strive to produce unforgettable concerts with talented groups from around the world.”
Fifty singers of thirty-five different nationalities from DS will be participating in the concert.
Dr Jonathan Griffith, the conductor, said, “Distinguished Concerts International (DCINY) is proud to announce that The Doha Singers have been invited to perform as part of the DCINY Concert Series. The ensemble has been selected to perform as part of a major concert featuring Handel’s Messiah under my baton at the world-famous Carnegie Hall in New York City. This invitation is due to the exceedingly high quality of the group and the exceptional direction of Claire Daniels.”
Claire Daniels, Musical Director said, “I was thrilled to receive a call from the organisers of the Concert who had seen our YouTube videos from our recent performances. After doing a rigorous phone interview with New York they presented our recordings to the panel and we were formally invited to participate.
