The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority Chairman HE Hamad bin Nasser al-Misned met with the United Kingdom ambassador to Qatar, Ajay Sharma.
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between Qatar and the UK and their importance in strengthening the area of transparency and fight against corruption.
The chairman stressed the importance of strengthening the co-operation between the two countries in the areas of integrity and transparency through training courses and conferences, especially since the UK has extensive experience in the fight against corruption.
They also reviewed the achievements of the administrative oversight and transparency authority, the future plan of action, the areas of co-operation with state agencies, and the Authority's interest in benefiting from the UK's experience in implementing the anti-corruption strategy.
Ambassador Sharma welcomed the co-operation with the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority and offered to provide it with anti-corruption and bribery prevention legislations applied in the UK. (QNA)
