Qatar Fuel (Woqod) opened Wednesday the Fereej Kulaib petrol station, raising its network of petrol stations to 64 as part of the company’s ongoing expansion plans to serve every area in Qatar.

Woqod CEO enginner Saad Rashid al-Muhannadi said: “We are pleased to open a new petrol station in Fereej Kulaib. Woqod aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort.
“Woqod will also announce the opening of new petrol stations this month to meet the fuel and energy needs of the country. The Woqod team would like to thank all governmental and private entities concerned that contributed to the completion of this project.”
Fereej Kulaib petrol station is spread over a 3,554sqm area and has eight lanes that will serve Fereej Kulaib and its neighbourhood. In addition, the number of dispensers was increased in order to enhance the quality of the service and reduce the vehicle congestion at the petrol stations.
Al-Muhannadi said the new petrol station offers round-the-clock services to residents, includes Sidra convenience store and sale of LPG cylinders, in addition to sale of gasoline and diesel products.
He added that Woqod is currently working on the construction of 31 petrol station projects, which are expected to be operational this year. He said Woqod currently has seven new stations in the tendering phase and 10 stations in the design phase.
He said this October three new fixed petrol stations in Old Aslata (Korniche) Hamad International Airport, and Foxhill (Luwsail) will open.
Al Muhannadi said in furtherance of customer’s satisfaction and the decrease of traffic congestions in petrol stations, Woqod is currently working on the dismantling of diesel dispensers in Wadi Albanat, Bufassaila, and Rowdat Al Hamama petrol stations, and will replace them with petrol dispensers.
He said Woqod is considering the replacement of the dismantled diesel dispensers with three mobile diesel stations to be located in some areas near the three abovementioned petrol stations.
Al-Muhannadi said the announcement is part of the company’s strategic expansion plan, adding that Woqod is targeting to reach a total of 120 fuel stations by the end of 2020.”
