The president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta, met with HE the Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim bin Said al-Sulaiti in Nairobi on Monday.

At the outset of the meeting, the Qatari minister conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the Kenyan president, and his wishes to the friendly people of Kenya further progress and prosperity.
For his part, the Kenyan president entrusted the Minister of Transport and Communications with his greetings to HH the Amir, wishing His Highness the best of health and the people of Qatar continuous development and prosperity.
Talks during the meeting covered the bilateral relations and ways of promoting them, in addition to a number of issues of mutual concern.
HE Jassim bin Saif al-Sulaiti also met with Kenyan Minister of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development James Macharia.
During the meeting they discussed aspects of co-operation in the fields of transport services, ports and aviation, and means of further enhancing them. They also discussed potential investment opportunities in these fields, in addition to a number of matters of common interest between the two friendly countries.
The meetings were attended by Qatar Airways chief executive Akbar al-Bakr and Qatar's ambassador to Nairobi Jabr bin Ali al-Dosari.
