HE the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, yesterday visited Al Hedaya Kindergarten and Primary School for People with Special Needs to find out about the educational and training services offered to students. During the visit, he was briefed about the various facilities of the school and its educational, and specialised training programmes presented to this important group in the community. Sheikh Abdullah visited the Roua Assessment Advice and Support Centre of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in order to assess the potential of the Center’s work and to see the quality of services provided to students with additional educational support, their teachers and their parents. He also called for hard work and continuous development of educational, training and guidance programmes for people with special needs, their families and teachers, and to keep up with new developments in the field of education and training at all levels, and to provide the centres concerned with specialised cadres qualified to provide services in accordance with the highest international standards. The Prime Minister was accompanied by HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi, and senior officials of the ministry.
