LexisNexis Legal & Professional will host on November 13 the third Qatar Business Law Forum & Awards, in partnership with the Ministry of Economy & Commerce (Legal Affairs Department), Qatar University College of Law, Qatar Chamber, the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Middle East and LexisNexis strategic partner in Qatar, Al Sulaiti Law Firm.
The Qatar Business Law Forum & Awards is a “unique” event combining a law conference in the morning (9am-1pm at the Intercontinental, the City) with an awards ceremony and gala dinner (7pm-10pm at the St Regis).
As in 2016 and 2017, the law conference will be focusing on current “hot topics” in Qatar business law. Lawyers from local and international law firms, professors and legal counsel constitute a highly qualified panel of experts.
The entry to the conference is free, but places are limited (registration can be done at http://www.qatarbusinesslawforum.com),  the organisers said.
During an awards ceremony as part of the gala dinner the accomplishments of top performing legal experts will be celebrated. Some 14 trophies will be awarded to both law firms and in-house counsel that have excelled in their areas of expertise.
The awards are judged by an independent panel composed of industry leaders, academic practitioners and government officials. Nominations are assessed objectively using predefined criteria.
