Tamim Al Majd artist Ahmed al-Maadheed opened his exhibition '5/6' Sunday, featuring 48 paintings and six distinct pieces of art at W Doha Hotel & Residences’ Art 29.

Portraits of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, including al-Maadheed's iconic Tamim Al Majd, are among the highlights of the show, which will run until October 16.
The artist noted that the title '5/6' depicts the date symbolising a turning point in the history of Qatar. These new artworks are being showcased for the first time while some have only been presented in private exhibitions. Al-Maadheed's second exhibition at Art 29 is divided into three distinct sections: art describing the pride and glory of Qatar; pieces depicting the artist's passion for sports; and miscellaneous works.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by several diplomats, art enthusiasts and other guests.
