Since its establishment, Silatech has been able to provide 1mn jobs for needy youth in more than 16 countries, in cooperation with its governmental and non-governmental partners.
This was revealed during a presentation by Silatech executive director Faisal al-Emadi, at the eighth session of the Global Donors Forum in London, entitled "Building Resilient Ecosystems Philanthropy Response to Inequality and Societal Tensions".
The forum saw a wide participation of representatives from governments, financial institutions and academics, charity counselors, humanitarian and relief organizations and others.
Al-Emadi gave a brief overview of Silatech and its journey which was launched in 2008, saying the idea to establish Silatech was born out of a vision of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, that supporting the future of youth supports all society.
He said that Silatech was working closely with its partners from governments, non-governmental organisations or multilateral and bilateral organisations in order to mobilie co-financing for the implementation of large-scale employment programmes.

He also presented the experience of Silatech in designing and developing innovative youth employment programmes in line with the goals of sustainable development, and providing innovative technological solutions to help young people who need support to establish their own businesses.
Silatech's mission is to connect Arab young people with employment and enterprise opportunities.
