United Development Company (UDC), a leading Qatari shareholding company and master developer of The Pearl-Qatar, has unveiled a delightful musical surprise in the form of a giant piano laid on one of the staircases overlooking Qanat Quartier’s retail area at The Pearl-Qatar.
Located on the flight of stairs linking QQ7 boardwalk with the mezzanine level, UDC said Music Steps will be a first in Qatar.
Surrounded by colourful residences, elegant boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops, Music Steps are set to become a unique attraction for The Pearl’s residents, tourists and visiting families.
The 30-step piano produces melodic tones with blinking lights and sounds every step of the way. Visitors can now hop, skip, and jump to play musical notes and sound effects, or can enjoy 10 classical melodies already programed.
UDC noted that these attractions serve to enthrall the thousands of visitors the island receives every day while introducing visitors to shops, restaurants and cafes across the island and cementing The Pearl-Qatar's position as a leading tourism and entertainment hub.
Subsequently, with the cooler months approaching, Music Steps will entice visiting kids and their families to skip the elevator and indoor locations and take the stairs to enjoy outdoor settings with this fun interactive.
This announcement comes shortly after UDC wrapped up its month of summer beach activities, which attracted more than 10,000 participants, bolstering retail businesses across The Pearl-Qatar.
