Qatar has condemned the attacks on a mosque in Al-Shirqat district and a village in western Anbar in Iraq, which killed a worshipper and wounded six others in the mosque, and killed two people in the village. In a statement yesterday, the Foreign Ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons. The statement stressed Qatar’s total rejection of targeting places of worship and intimidating civilians. It expressed Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims and the government and people of Iraq, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
