More than 88,300 people have already registered as volunteers to support preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
As of midnight last night, a total of 88,359 people had registered as volunteers via the link, https://www.sc.qa/en/opportunities/volunteer, with the number increasing steadily.
The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy had on Sunday opened registration for volunteers from Qatar, the region and the world to support preparations for the World Cup.
It is estimated that the tournament, the first FIFA World Cup in the Arab world, will need between 14,000 and 16,000 volunteers.
