The Meqdam Camp received on Saturday the 11th batch of personnel enlisted for national service. This is the first batch following the issue of Law No 5 of 2018 pertaining to national service.
They were received by Staff Major General Saeed Hamad al-Nuaimi, president of National Service Academy, along with a number of officers and trainers.
Staff Major General al-Nuaimi expressed his happiness at receiving the batch as it is the first after the new law was issued.
He thanked His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, as well as HE Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs; and Staff Major General (Pilot) Ghanim bin Shaheen al-Ghanim, Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, for their continuous and unlimited support for national service projects.
