A hot dog stand in New York's busy Times Square was buzzing with activity on Tuesday as it was swarmed by an estimated 40,000 bees.
The bees, believed to have left a hive on a Manhattan rooftop due to the heat, settled on the stand's umbrella, CNN reported.
Pedestrians gave the stand a wide berth and the NYPD sent its bee experts to collect the insects.
In under an hour, the bees were gathered into container with a suction device and were transported to a new home on Long Island.
