Shoura Business Group, a Qatari technology & innovation driven SME has announced the launch of its innovative and patented, automation platform, Smart Communications and Analytics Learning Engine (SCALE).

SCALE which is completely innovated in Qatar and is patent filled will be launched on August 29 at Medical Fair Asia 2018, in Singapore as part of the Qatar Pavilion in the Exhibition provided by Qatar Development Bank.

According to the group officials, SCALE will enable population health strategies for various governments using low cost and easy to adopt innovation. This brings together the convergence of IVR (Interactive Voice Response), TeleConsultation and Analytics on a single platform.
SCALE is the missing link between EMR and mHealth for out of hospital care workflows like medication reminders, healthcare renewal, medication refills, discharge support and readmission avoidance among others.
SCALE platform is user-friendly, cost effective and aims to bridge the technology divide, helps in patient education and ensures data security. SCALE is a single platform for the health organisations to contact their patients and get responses from them without much human supervision.
The solution increases access to patients using IVR with its platform that pulls data and writes back to the electronic medical record in HL7 format. Health Level-7 or HL7 refers to a set of international standards for transfer of clinical and administrative data between software applications used by various healthcare providers. Partners like Malomatia, have collaborated to explore SCALE for Qatar market.
Najat AbdulRaheem, founder and CEO, Shoura Business Group said, “Information technology that was intended to improve care (electronic medical records, healthcare information exchanges) has often been more of a burden to providers than a solution. Healthcare authorities have struggled to engage patients as stakeholders. SCALE is positioned to achieve this as a cornerstone by innovatively redesigning already adopted and proven platforms like IVR and Teleconsultations and addressing technology adoption and cybersecurity.”
Patient centric care is the norm of the day in healthcare and various initiatives in many countries including Qatar are trying to address it using easy to adopt and sustain strategies. This shift in focus has enabled players across the healthcare landscape to better meet patients’ needs by respecting their time, informing them, understanding them as individuals, answering their questions, connecting them with their data — and their ecosystem — and allowing caregivers to actively participate in patient well-being.
SCALE is a patented innovation of Shoura, founded in the year 2012 and supported by QDB with the vision of being the one-stop-solution to partners seeking advice in the domains of Healthcare, SmartNation and Technology.
