Katara – the Cultural Village has emerged as one of the major destinations this Eid al-Adha holidays, welcoming a large number of residents and visitors for three consecutive days.
In a press statement, Katara said the third and final day of Eid al-Adha celebrations on Thursday featured an array of activities for all ages, creating unforgettable memories during this special occasion.

Among the visitors was Indian expatriate Kumar Landil who attended the festival with his children and wife and has only been in Qatar for a short period of time. He said he was amused by how Katara managed to bring all the visitors from different origins and backgrounds together and engaged them in a one-of-its-kind festival.
Some holiday-goers, especially parents, thanked Katara for the Eid gifts which were distributed among the children, making Eid al-Adha “a very happy occasion despite being far from our home countries".
The celebration also featured spectacular fireworks displays for three days, lighting the skies of Doha and reflecting the colours of the Qatari flag.
Katara noted that its beach area welcomed huge crowds who enjoyed the beach side and watersports from 10am.
Montaser Abudari, along with his family who are visiting friends in Qatar, spent his Eid holidays in Doha. “Katara beach can easily compete with many famous international resorts and the quality of service is definitely satisfying,” he said.
