Katara-the Cultural Village Foundation has said it will start receiving visitors from today, the first day of Eid al-Adha, with a wide range of activities that will appeal to people of all age categories and from different segments of society.
The festivities will make Katara a distinguished family destination throughout the Eid holidays, the Cultural Village has said in a press statement.
The public will be entertained with a special parade featuring a musical band from the Police Training Institute. The parade is set to begin at 8.15pm. The audience will enjoy the band’s presentation in a beautiful, entertaining atmosphere that combines the harmony of their movements with music.
This will be followed by the distribution of Eid gifts among children visiting Katara, from 8.40pm until 9.15pm. The police music band will put up another performance from 9.15pm to 9.45pm. The daily festivities will conclude with the dazzling fireworks show, which will adorn the skies above Katara. This will start at 9.45pm. In the meantime, the Katara beach will receive visitors from 10am until sunset daily, offering a wide range of activities such as water skiing, gondola and boat rides, a kids’ play area and various types of other water sports.
The Katara Eid festivities will continue throughout the four Eid al-Adha days at the esplanade, from 8.15pm until 10pm, with a collection of special festivities for all family members.
