The Qatar Met department has issued a weather forecast summary for the Eid al-Adha holiday period, from Tuesday until August 24.

Hot weather conditions will continue during the daytime and scattered clouds and high relative humidity are also expected, raising the ‘sensible temperature’.
An online description says ‘sensible temperature’ is the “sensation of temperature that the human body feels in contrast to the actual temperature of the environment as measured with a thermometer”.
Humidity is likely to intensify at night and there is a chance of misty to foggy conditions by dawn, especially in open areas, causing visibility to drop below 3km at times, the report states.
The winds during this period are expected to be mainly northwesterly to northeasterly, with the speed ranging from 5-15 knots. Then, ‘fresh’ winds are likely on Thursday and Friday, reaching a high of 18 knots during the afternoon.
The sea state, meanwhile, is expected to be suitable for all kinds of activities and the wave height will be 2-4ft.
The maximum temperature will range from 35-42C around the country during this period while the minimum, at night, will be 26-32C, according to the summary.
Wishing people on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, the Met department has advised them to follow latest updates through its official website and various social media accounts.
Meanwhile, Tuesday’s detailed forecast says it will be hot during the day and humid by night. Slightly dusty conditions are also likely offshore.
The maximum temperature is expected to be 43C today in Al Khor, followed by 42C in Doha, Wakrah and Mesaieed, 38C in Dukhan and Abu Samra, and 36C in Ruwais.
On Monday, the maximum temperature was 45C in Abu Hamour, Al Khor, the Qatar University area, Jumayliyah and Turayna, 44C in Sheehaniya, Batna, Mesaieed and Karana, 43C in Wakrah and 42C in Doha.
