Qatar shooting and archery team ended their preparations before heading to the Indonesian capital Jakarta to participate in the 18th Asian Games, which will be held from August 18 to September 2.
The team ended the last training session at Lusail Shooting Club according to the programme prepared for the competitions, under the supervision of the technical and administrative bodies.
Shooting competitions are taking place in the fields of “Jakabaring”, while the bow and arrow competitions are held in the fields of “GPK”, where the competitions for the shooting will kick off on August 21 and conclude on August 28.
The Qatari team were scheduled to arrive at the Olympic city of Palembang yesterday and will immediately start training.
The international jury and referee Abdullah Ali al-Hammadi, member of the Board of Directors of Qatar Shooting and Archery Association, was chosen by the organising committee for the 18th Asian Games as President of the Shotgun fields, while Ahmed Abdulrahman al-Jaidah, member of the Qatar Referees Committee, was elected as a member of the appeals and results committee for gun and pistol competitions.
