His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani sent yesterday cables to Jordanian King Abdullah II, expressing condolences over the martyrs who lost their lives in the terrorist act which targeted the public security forces in the city of Fuhais and after the raid on the terrorist cell site in the city of Salt.
The Amir expressed Qatar’s solidarity with Jordan and its support for any measures taken to protect its security and stability, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery. HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani sent a similar cable to Prime Minister Dr Omar Ahmad Munif Razzaz.
In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons. The statement affirmed Qatar’s solidarity with the Jordanian government and its support for any measures taken to maintain security.
