Heath Control Sections at the different municipalities around the country have augmented the pace of their preparations for the upcoming Eid al-Adha through a comprehensive work plan to tighten control and inspection efforts on all the food facilities and outlets in day and night shifts.

The main objective is to ensure that the food products on display are healthy and safe for consumers and comply with the food safety and security regulations. Related complaints would be received round-the-clock and dealt with accordingly.
Further, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) stressed that people should completely avoid slaughtering their sacrificial animals outside the authorised slaughterhouses. The MME has also advised consumers on proper ways to keep meat in good condition.
