The Zakat Fund of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has extended assistance worth more than QR13mn during July to the beneficiaries of the families registered with it.
In a press release issued Monday, the Fund said that it provided QR13,699,623 during July, including cyclical assistance, one-time aid, tuition fees, treatment and help for those in debt distress.
This was paid for those entitled to in accordance with the Shariah regulations.
The Fund pointed out that it provided QR9,851,724 as cyclical assistance to eligible families, QR2,152,409 as one-time aid to those in specific needs, and QR886,683 for those in families eligible for assistance such as students enrolled in different education stages, as well as QR695,807 for patients who are eligible for assistance in co-operation with Hamad Medical Corporation, along with QR113,000 for those in debt distress.
The Zakat Fund is also preparing for Eid al-Adha to provide assistance to the eligible families registered with it, so that it can meet their needs during the Eid.
