The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced the implementation of a temporary closure on Omar Bin Al-Khattab Street, in both directions between Fareej Kulaib Roundabout and Al-Faihani Street.

The closure, implemented in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, is to start by Monday midnight and would continue for two weeks.
Ashghal has said in a press statement that the closure is being carried out with the aim of completing works on converting Fareej Kulaib Roundabout into a signal-controlled intersection, and opening it to traffic with the start of the new school year.
During this period, Al-Faihani Street and neighbouring local roads can be used to reach the required destinations, as shown on the attached map.
The Public Works Authority will instal road signs advising motorists of the closure. It has also requested all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow road signs to ensure their safety.
