Qatar has strongly condemned the attack that took place in the western Afghan city of Herat, killing two children and wounding 10 civilians. In a statement Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons. It expressed Qatar's condolences to the victims' families, the government and people of Afghanistan, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery. Taliban militants launched an attack early Friday on the capital of the southeastern Ghazni province, local authorities said.
