A suspect has been arrested in connection with an attack in which two homeless men in Berlin were doused with flammable liquid and set on fire, police and the public prosecutor confirmed on Wednesday.

A 47-year-old man was arrested by criminal investigators on Tuesday in the eastern district of Koepenick. He was charged with attempted murder.
The two men sustained severe burns after an unknown individual set them on fire at a Berlin train station.
The men, German citizens aged 47 and 62, were taken to hospital after the attack, which occurred at the Schoeneweide train station in south-eastern Berlin around 11 pm on July 22. The men's belongings were also set on fire.
One man is almost ready to be released from hospital while the other remains in critical condition, authorities said.
