QNB has announced a four-year partnership agreement with the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), which will see the bank involved in all IAAF World Athletic Series events, including the IAAF World Athletics Championships 2019 in Doha.
QNB’s partnership with the IAAF is a “confirmation of its keenness to support sports activities as one of the most important aspects of its corporate social responsibility, and comes as part of its role in achieving Qatar National Vision 2030”, the bank said in a statement.
The four-year agreement will also see QNB implement a school engagement programme in Qatar, which aims to inspire young Qataris to lead a healthy lifestyle and focus on athletics as one of the most important sports locally and globally.
QNB Group’s presence through its subsidiaries and associate companies now extends to 31 countries across three continents, providing a “comprehensive range of advanced products and services”, the statement adds.
The total number of employees is around 29,000, operating through more than 1,100 locations, with an ATM network of more than 4,400 machines.
