Ooredoo has announced that Fibre Home subscribers can now have full control over their services via the Ooredoo App.

With the new updates, anyone with a Fibre Home plan will be able to view what plan they are on, upgrade or downgrade their plan easily and opt-in for eligible TV content, such as the beIN Full Package and STARZ PLAY, Ooredoo has said in a press statement.

Since the launch of Ooredoo’s new Fibre Home plans, "more customers than ever are enjoying faster Internet speeds and the company’s award-winning Ooredoo tv service, which comes inclusive", the statement notes.

The new Ooredoo App update ensures that all customers have a clear understanding of the plan they are on, the speeds they should be experiencing and the eligible benefits they can get from their subscription.

Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, director of PR and Corporate Communications at Ooredoo Qatar, said: “We noticed that in many cases our customers did not know the Fibre speed that they are currently on or the content that they are eligible to opt-in for. Thanks to this update, everyone will be able to clearly see their services, upgrade or downgrade seamlessly and take full advantage of the benefits the new Ooredoo Fibre Home Entertainment plans offer.”

All Ooredoo Fibre customers will be able to utilise the Ooredoo App as a one-stop-shop, viewing and paying their bill, and changing their subscriptions as they need.

Ooredoo’s new Fibre Home plans were designed to cater to the increasing bandwidth speed and entertainment needs of Ooredoo customers. Since the service launch in November 2017, over 70,000 households have switched to the new Fibre Home options, according to Ooredoo.

To cater to the growing demand of seamless home entertainment, all new Ooredoo Fibre Home plans will include the STARZ PLAY on-demand service, which offers more than 6,500 hours of content at no extra cost.

Ooredoo Fibre Home customers choosing the 30Mbps or above plan can also enjoy an inclusive beIN Full Package subscription, which covers live and exclusive sports channels as well as kids, lifestyle and factual programmes, the latest movies, music and more.

Existing customers on Home Broadband can upgrade to the new Fibre Home plans by visiting an Ooredoo shop or downloading the latest version of the Ooredoo App.
