Lebanese President Michel Aoun met with the ambassador of Qatar to Lebanon, Ali bin Hamad al-Marri, on the occasion of the end his term of office in Beirut on Friday.
The Lebanese president presented the ambassador with the National Decoration of the Cedar, Grade of Great Officer, which is the highest award granted by the country to personalities other than presidents.
President Aoun praised the role played by ambassador al-Marri to develop relations and co-operation between the two countries during his term of office and wished him success in his new duties.
For his part, ambassador al-Marri thanked the Lebanese president and his government for their support for the performance of his duties during his tenure.
