The Ministry of Education and Higher Education will conduct the process of registration and transfer of schools students in three government service complexes during the summer, in order to help the parents, and to provide an opportunity for those who were unable to complete the registration or transfer of their children for the next academic year 2018-2019 during the early registration period.
Students will be registered or relocated according to the geographical area of the parent’s residence, and vacancy, according to the admissions categories due for enrolment in public schools.
This service is available in the government service complexes of Onaiza, Al Rayyan and Mesaimeer, in addition to the reception section in the Education Ministry building in Dafna.
The Ministry explained in a circular that its statistics indicate the registration and transfer of about 13,150 students, including 7,495 Qatari students and 277 students with one Qatari parent, while the rest of students are from the GCC countries and other nationalities.
The registration and electronic transfer process had proved more successful than in previous years, especially after the Department of Schools provided all the services related to the admission and registration of students on the website of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
Furthermore, the Ministry has updated its regulations regarding the linkage between the ‘National Student Information System’ and the students own data on the Ministry of the Interior database, as well as the primary healthcare system, Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation, as well as participation and co-operation with government service centres to provide admission and registration services for students between public schools through qualified and trained staff.
