HEC Paris in Qatar has launched the second intake of the Specialised Master in Strategic Business Unit Management (SBUM) Degree programme for the 2017-2018 academic year. 
A total of 49 participants were welcomed during an orientation session held on the HEC Paris Doha campus in Tornado Tower. 
The induction was presented by Dr Nils Plambeck, dean and CEO, HEC Paris in Qatar; Raja V Assili, COO, HEC Paris in Qatar; Claudine Chocteau, director of Specialised Master’s programmes and executive certificates, HEC Paris; Prof Wolfgang Amann, academic director of the Specialised Master programme in Qatar; and Pallavi Shetty, senior project co-ordinator of the programme. 
The Specialised Master’s Degree programme "has been revamped to meet the constantly evolving global business landscape and reaffirms HEC Paris’ commitment, in partnership with Qatar Foundation, to design and deliver high-quality, relevant and up-to-the-minute Executive Education programmes to the region", according to a press statement.
“This Specialised Master marks the beginning of a new learning journey for the joining participants. In choosing this programme offered by HEC Paris, participants have the chance to develop new insights and broaden their leadership skill set. The interactive learning environment enables participants to step back from their daily routine and acquire the tools for sustainable success in their careers,” said Dr Plambeck.
The latest Specialised Master’s Degree cohort includes participants from Australia, Palestine, Nigeria, Yemen, the UK and Qatar and from a diverse range of sectors such as banking, finance, telecommunications, real estate, aviation, education, energy, economic zones and insurance. This blend of nationalities and sectors "underlines HEC Paris’ mission to educate executives to ‘think global, act local', the statement notes.
“HEC Paris’ renowned Specialised Master is designed to keep up with the ongoing changes in the economic environment and to meet the needs of participants. The revamped programme enables participants to further personalise their learning journey to best suit their career aspirations. Consequently, this tailored approach brings immediate results for a participant’s organisation and their own development,” added Prof Amann.
The Specialised Master's consists of the core curriculum designed as a practical foundation professionals and entrepreneurs looking to manage their own business unit or company in the future. Participants can choose to follow one of three tracks: General Management, Marketing and Sales, or Human Resources Management to develop their leadership skills and meet their career needs.
