Qatar is proud to showcase its plans in Russia, while continuing to learn from the 2018 FIFA World Cup organisers, Nasser al-Khater, Assistant Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, the body responsible for organising the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar, has said.

“The reaction to our installations in Moscow and Saint Petersburg has been fantastic, with fans very keen to engage with Qatari culture and heritage,” said al-Khater.
“Our tournament will be a unique experience for fans, players and officials. Its compact nature means fans will be able to watch more than one match a day during the group stage, while accommodation options, including desert camps and cruise ships, will offer an atmosphere unlike any previous tournament.

“We are also determined to showcase the very best in Arab hospitality. We can’t wait to welcome the world to enjoy our family-friendly atmosphere in four years’ time.”
Al-Khater went on to say the 180-strong Qatari delegation had gathered significant knowledge since arriving in Russia.
“This has been an unparalleled learning opportunity for everyone involved in preparations for Qatar 2022. We have spent time working with FIFA and the Russian Local Organising Committee, and also conducted observation programmes across several host cities.
“We congratulate Russia on hosting a memorable World Cup and look forward to following this success in 2022 with another fantastic experience for football fans everywhere.”
The activations in Moscow coincide with Qatar’s official observation programme, where employees have been tasked with gathering knowledge in preparation for Qatar’s tournament, which will kick off on 21 November 2022. The delegation includes employees from numerous Qatari stakeholders, including Ashghal, Hamad Medical Corporation, Kahramaa, the Ministry of Interior, Qatar Football Association, Qatar Rail, QNB Stars League and Qatar Tourism Authority.
Majlis Qatar and Qatar Elements are running alongside various other activations in Doha, Moscow and Saint Petersburg. These include interactive digital portals that connect fans via live video feeds. The SC is also hosting the Qatar @roadto2022 Exhibition at GUM department store in Moscow.
