His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani on Thursday assessed the progress of the Doha Metro project.
During a visit, the Deputy Amir was briefed on the latest developments with regard to the project and its facilities. He listened to a detailed presentation on the operational mechanisms and the technical capabilities of the station.
The Deputy Amir also visited the Ras Abu Fontas station to assess latest developments there.
He visited the main maintenance centre of the Abu Fontas area, as well as the main control units of the metro.
The Deputy Amir also checked the Pedestrian bridges related to the project.
During the visit, the Deputy Amir was accompanied HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, and a number of ministers and ranking officials of Qatar Rail.
