HE Jassim bin Saif al-Sulaiti , Minister of Transport and Communications, met separately with president of the Council of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Dr Olimo Rinsed and Fang Liu, Secretary-General of the ICAO in Montreal on Tuesday.
During their meetings, the minister discussed the two complaints submitted by Qatar regarding the blockade of civil aviation routes and its negative impacts on the movement of air traffic and air safety.
HE al-Sulaiti also asked them to fulfill Icao's responsibilities in this field, stressing the respect of Qatar for the Chicago Convention, its annexes and other international agreements and conventions in the field of civil aviation.
