A large number of visitors are expected on Friday to throng the Labour City, opposite Grand Mall in Asian Town, for cultural and entertainment events to be held as part of the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
The celebrations are organised under the aegis of the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Interior (MoI).

A number of events are scheduled at the football grounds of the Labour City after 6pm. Artistes from different Asian groups are expected to perform at the celebrations, according to a statement from MoI.
Apart from cultural shows and performances by community teams, a number of awareness programmes would be conducted on the occasion by the Civil Defence, Al Fazaa Police, Immigration Department, Search and Follow Up Department, Human Rights Department, Drugs Enforcement, Community Police, Traffic and CID.
There would also be a number of audio-visual programmes.
Barwa Group is organising similar programmes at the Barwa Workers Recreation Complex in Al Khor Industrial Area, in association with the Public Relations Department of the MoI on Friday and Saturday from 6pm to 10pm.
Besides cultural shows and performances by members of the Asian communities, there will be awareness programmes by various government departments.
