Qatar Foundation's (QF's) Pre-University Education (PUE) has opened registration for its Education City Summer Camp 2018, sponsored by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, to be held at Awsaj Academy from June 24 to July 19.
The camp, open to children aged 5-12 years old, aims to engage students in programmes and creative activities in a secure educational environment that promotes character-building in them, allowing them to explore their talents and different capabilities.
The Education City Summer Camp 2018 will include a visit to the Qatar National Library to explore its collections and attend workshops on technology; a study of seeds and plants through the 'Young Farmers Programme', which will be delivered by the Qur'anic Botanic Garden, a QF member; practical fun hands-on scientific experiments; horse-riding lessons at Al Shaqab; and a workshop on the benefits of teamwork delivered by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy.
Academic Affairs' Executive Director of PUE, QF Abeer al-Khalifa, commended the strategic partnership between PUE and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy.
She also expressed gratitude to the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy for their sponsorship for the second straight year, saying this event enhances the social responsibility for all, either through participating or supporting the participants to encourage and develop their different talents.
Al-Khalifa also extended her appreciation to the participating organisations, asking others to collaborate and work together with the EC Summer Camp, which will continue to happen every year.
Outreach Project Manager, Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, Mead Al Emadi expressed her delight at the continuing partnership between Generation Amazing and Qatar Foundation in organising the second Education City Summer Camp.
