Al Markhiya Street will be closed at Umm Lekhba Interchange during the second and third day of Eid al-Fitr in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
Road users coming on Al Markhiya Street, heading east or west, have been asked to use alternative routes, including Al Khafji and Arab League streets (as shown on the map).
The closure is required to continue demolition of the existing pedestrian bridges and enable construction of bridges on Umm Lekhba Interchange.
Ashghal will install road signs to guide road users to alternative routes, and requests them to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
