His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday issued the following Amiri Decisions:
1. Amiri Decision No 32 of 2018, appointing Khalid Hamad Ali al-Yousef al-Sulaiti ambassador to Iraq.
2. Amiri Decision No 33 of 2018 appointing Bandar Mohamed Abdullah al-Attiyah ambassador to Kuwait.
3. Amiri Decision No 34 of 2018 appointing Ali Hamad Mubarak al-Marri ambassador to Albania.
4. Amiri Decision No 35 of 2018 appointing Abdulrahman Ali Rabiah al-Ajaj al-Kubaisi ambassador to Sudan.
5. Amiri Decision No 36 of 2018 appointing Hassan Mohamed Rafea al-Emadi ambassador to Japan.
6. Amiri Decision No 37 of 2018 appointing Mohamed Hassan Jaber al-Jaber ambassador to Lebanon.
7. Amiri Decision No 38 of 2018 appointing Zayed Saeed Rashid al-Kumait al-Khayareen ambassador to Azerbaijan.
8. Amiri Decision No 39 of 2018 appointing Sheikha Moza bint Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali al-Thani ambassador to Sweden.
9.  Amiri Decision No 40 of 2018 appointing Saad Ali Hilal al-Mohannadi ambassador to Portugal.
10. Amiri Decision No 41 of 2018 appointing Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Ibrahim al-Humeid ambassador to Ghana.
11. Amiri Decision No 42 of 2018 appointing Abdullah Ahmed Abdullah Salih al-Sulaiti ambassador  to the Kyrgyz Republic.
12. Amiri Decision No 43 of 2018 appointing Saad Mubarak Saad al-Jafali al-Nuaimi ambassador to Panama.
13. Amiri Decision No 44 of 2018 appointing Sultan Ali Yousef Mohamed al-Khater ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The decisions are effective starting from their date of issue and are to be published in the official gazette.

Amir ratifies decrees

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani ratified the following decrees:
1. Decree No 26 of 2018 to ratify the co-operation agreement between the governments of Qatar and Tunisia, in the field of Youth and Sport, signed in Doha on 12/10/1989, annexed to this decree and shall have the force of law in accordance with Article 68 of the Constitution. 
2. Decree No 27 of 2018 to ratify the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on legal co-operation activities between the governments of Qatar and Malaysia, signed in Putrajaya on 16/10/2017, annexed to this decree and shall have the force of law in accordance with Article 68 of the Constitution. 
3. Decree number 28 of  2018 ratifying an air transport agreement between the governments of Qatar and  Nigeria, signed in Doha on 28/2/2016, annexed to this Decree and shall have the force of law in accordance with Article 68 of the Constitution.
4. Decree No 29 of 2018 ratifying agreement on encouragement and mutual protection of investments between the governments of Qatar and Jordan, signed in Amman on 28/01/2009, annexed to this decree and shall have the force of law in accordance with Article 68 of the Constitution. 
5. Decree No 30 of 2018 ratifying an agreement on encouragement and mutual protection of investments between the governments of Qatar and Azerbaijan, signed in Baku on 28/08/2007. 
6. Decree No 31 of 2018 ratifying MoU for co-operation in the field of environment and conservation between the governments of Qatar and Oman, signed in Muscat on 26/02/2016.

Instruments of ratification

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday issued the following instruments of ratification 
1. An instrument of ratification approving a draft protocol to amend some provisions of the air transport agreement between the governments of Qatar and Oman signed on 16/4/2018.
2. An instrument of ratification approving a draft memorandum of understanding for co-operation in the field of education, higher education and scientific research between the governments of Qatar and El Salvador signed in Doha on 16/1/2018.

Amir sends cables of congratulations

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has sent cables of congratulations to the Presidents of Ethiopia, Nepal and  Azerbaijan - Dr Mulatu Teshome, Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Ilham Aliyev respectively - on their countries’ National Day. 
His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani has also sent cables of congratulations to the presidents of Ethiopia, Nepal and Azerbaijan on the occasion of their countries’ National Day. 
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani has also sent congratulatory cables to the Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed and Nepalese Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli on the occasion.

Malaysian official meets Qatar envoy

Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Ramlan Ibrahim met the outgoing ambassador of Qatar Issa bin Mohamed al-Mannai yesterday.
They discussed bilateral ties and means to support them as well as matters of common interest.
