Qatar Airways, the Official Exclusive Carrier of this year’s Amir Cup, have congratulated the champions Al Duhail, who beat Al Rayyan 2-1 in the final on Saturday.
The final was held at Khalifa International Stadium, the first of eight venues in Qatar that will host Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup. 
Qatar Airways Group chief executive Akbar al-Baker said, “We are delighted to be the Official Exclusive Carrier of this prestigious tournament. The Amir Cup has been tremendously successful for more than four decades, as a result of the many committed fans in Qatar who have enthusiastically supported their teams. This is the second year the Amir’s Cup final has been hosted at the Khalifa International Stadium, the first Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup stadium to be unveiled and used. As we approach the launch of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, we are truly excited to showcase our belief in the power of sport in bringing people together.”
The award-winning airline has recently added many exciting sporting sponsorships to its extensive sponsorship portfolio. The airline will be the title sponsor of the Qatar Airways New York City E-Prix, taking place on July 14-15. In addition to supporting Formula E, Qatar Airways is also the Official Airline Partner of FIFA, a deal that covers the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, the FIFA Club World Cup, the FIFA Women’s World Cup, the FIFA Under-20 and Under 17 World Cups, the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, the FIFA Interactive World Cup and the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar. 
In addition to its existing partnership with German club Bayern Munich, for which it is a Platinum Partner, Qatar Airways also recently revealed multi-year sponsorship agreements as Official Jersey Sponsor for Italy’s Roma and Argentina’s Boca Juniors.
