LG has launched in Qatar the SK9Y 500W sound bar, the follow-up model to last year’s “very successful” SJ9 sound bar, it has been announced.
The new LG SK9Y sound bar is available at LG Brand shops, Jumbo Electronics showrooms, Spark Lifestyle Electronics and leading hypermarkets.
With the new SK9Y 5.1.2Ch sound bar, “one can now experience cinematic sounds at home with Dolby Atmos where the action can move anywhere in three-dimensional space, including above the listener for the ultimate in surround audio”, a statement notes.
The SK9Y lets users customise dimensional surround sound however one may like it. Dolby Atmos audio includes overhead audio channels for even more thrilling effects, like spaceships flying above. One can now adjust this overhead volume specifically to suit personal preference using the handy remote control.
Digital music for audiophiles has gotten better with higher sampling rates and bit depth, both of which can contribute to more accurate, more enjoyable music listening. This certified Hi-Resolution Audio sound bar can play back lossless stereo audio at up to 24-bit/192kHz quality.
The SK9Y has Google Chromecast built-in that works seamlessly with popular music apps like Pandora and Google Play Music, enabling wireless audio from a compatible phone or tablet, iPhone, iPad, Mac or Windows laptop or Chromebook. “Simply open a Cast-enabled app and touch the Cast button to get started. One can now play music, skip tracks, and adjust the volume on the sound bar with their voice through Google Assistant built in on another device – like the LG ThinQ speaker,” the
statement explains.
4K resolution is the new video quality standard for TVs, and to offer the full 4K home theatre experience from streaming, disc and beyond, sound bars need to be able to input and output the 4K signal, with no loss of image quality. The SK9Y lets the input video pass through it without any loss of image quality to deliver impeccable 4K resolution video quality.
