Oman Air recently debuted its new and exclusive premium lounge at Muscat International Airport.
The new stylish premium lounge offers Oman Air guests a “further unrivalled service as they travel”, the airline has said in a statement.
Oman Air passengers travelling in First Class and Business Class can now take advantage of the airline’s new premium class lounge, which offers “a pre-flight oasis of calm”. “The beautiful interiors of the lounge have been influenced by the truly unique terrain found in Oman and designed to reflect the unspoilt, natural beauty of the desert and the rugged landscape of the mountains. ‘Mashrabiya’, a traditional element of traditional Arabic architecture, has been used to provide privacy in communal areas and add to the fluidity of the spacing,” the statement noted.
Spread over two storeys, the lounge offers guests a wide array of food and beverage services, including dining areas, a luggage room, an entertainment area, a smoking room, prayer rooms, a business centre, a kids’ room, a nap area, shower facilities, baby-changing facilities and a wellness area.
Covering 429.35sqm with an overall capacity of 100 people, the area designated for First Class guests offers services such as a personal chef, limousine service from the lounge to the aircraft and relaxation rooms. The Business Class area covers 2,313.92sqm and has an overall capacity of 516 people.
Further to this premium lounge, the airline has said all First Class and Business Class international guests travelling with Oman Air to Muscat International Airport are “invited to enjoy the impressive arrival lounge”.
Nature has been the inspiration behind this lounge and the “elegant and tranquil surroundings” offer semi-public spaces with plenty of light. The service area is located at the upper corner in order to leave a large communal space for guests to enjoy.
The area of the arrival lounge located on the mezzanine floor in the arrival side of the airport covers 237sqm and has 90 seats. The service is especially valuable for premium passengers travelling on short flights worldwide as it allows them to freshen up after their flight, have some food or catch up on some sleep.
