Social Development Centre – Nama recently organised an interactive workshop for the the Aspiration & Achievement 2030 Campaign.

The event was attended by several Qatari and non-Qatari participants. The campaign was launched recently to motivate students to contribute to the achievement of Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030.
Different social figures have joined the campaign and discussed projects and training courses they have delivered -- and which are linked to the four pillars of QNV 2030 -- in order to encourage young people to innovate and excel socially, and do their best to contribute to Qatar’s prosperity. During the event, the main positive points of such experiences and expertise were mentioned to encourage members to interact with the campaign. Each member can join by logging to the webpage of Nama at www.nama.org.qa and sending a video about any of the QNV 2030 pillars. In the video, a participant should express his/her ability to contribute to the vision objectives achievement and turn it to action, Nama has said in a statement.
Aspiration & Achievement 2030 Campaign is the ‘first of its kind’ in this area, the statement notes. Through this campaign, Nama is looking to support its role to help young people and enhance their participation socially in an effective manner in order to take the effort for taking the country’s development and progress forward in all areas. The workshop comes within the framework of Nama Centre's efforts to achieve positive interaction among the youth with the campaign, in addition to strong dissemination and promotion of its goals and activities. The workshop comes in the context of the pre-set promotion plans.
After the campaign was launched, Nama Centre made some awareness visits to introduce the audience to the campaign objectives. These included Um Mabd Preparatory School for Girls and many other schools.
The visits witnessed a lot of interaction by the male and female students, who expressed happiness at the visits and interaction with its goals - which were represented by students’ involvement in the campaign’s social media channels. Students have also participated in the campaign’s weekly competition. The campaign is supported by a weekly competition to highlight the youth role to achieve QNV 2030. Noor al-Tamimi won in the competition’s Environmental Development category recently, when Shaikha Ali al-Qahtani won in the Human Development category. Both were honoured at the centre.
The centre’s staff has co-ordinated orientation visits, during which awareness workshops have been held for each of the Qatar Social Work Foundation sister institutions -- which are Protection and Social Rehabilitation Centre (AMAN), Center for Empowerment and Elderly Care – Ehsan, Family Consulting Centre (WIFAQ), Orphans Care Centre (Dreama), Shafallah Centre, in addition to the Best Buddies Initiative. Some other public institutions were visited such as Government Liaison Office, Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics, as well as Qatar University and Hamad Bin Khalifa University.
The centre also participated in the ‘Vision Qatar 2030’ workshop, organised at Katara. It was presented by Nasser al-Malki and Aisha al-Tamimi as part of the campaign activities.
