Vodafone Qatar said it surprised coffee lovers at the Kaffeinated 2.0 coffee festival with the Vodafone Cafe showcase powered by Empire Coffee, a well-known Qatari cafe owned by brothers Ibrahim and Essa al-Khulaifi.
The initiative comes as part of Vodafone Qatar’s “commitment to support local businesses in the country”, the company has said in a statement.
All proceeds generated from coffee sales at the Vodafone Cafe would go towards supporting Qatar Red Crescent’s charitable work, the statement noted.
Now in its second edition, the festival is taking place at Katara Hall until April 21, from 10am to 10pm.
Vodafone Qatar is also sponsoring the festival’s Latte Art competition between local baristas on April 20 to further encourage the booming coffee culture in Qatar.
The coffee festival started as an idea from a single coffee lover who wanted to bring together a community of other coffee lovers.
Other festival highlights include workshops that enable the community to gain a better understanding of the coffee business in Qatar and advance their coffee knowledge.
Visitors are able to taste different kinds of coffee brews, attempt making a coffee and enjoy the experience with family and friends.
