Mowasalat chairman Nasser bin Mohammed al-Malki and managing director and CEO Khaled Nasser al-Hail recently received and hosted a delegation from Higer Bus Company of China.

Higer managing director Huang Shuping, regional manager Xi Wen, sales manager Wu Rong and service engineer Fu Cong were part of the delegation, Mowasalat said in a statement.

The visit is part of a series of mutual visits between the two parties, reinforcing the 12-year-long business relationship between the two companies. It was an opportunity to discuss some of the main issues and future projects and the possible means to develop common areas of business for mutual benefit, the statement notes.

Higer is one of the major bus suppliers to Qatar and one of the main partners of Mowasalat since the latter was chosen as the official transport provider for the 2006 Asian Games.

Mowasalat is the national land transport services provider that meets all transport needs of Qatar - from public and school transportation to major events and contractual services.

The company is preparing to enhance its fleet of vehicles, operations, drivers and management in addition to adopt the best training programmes that incorporate the latest technologies and innovations in transport field, with skilled engineers and technicians in servicing the vehicles and providing technical support.

Mowasalat is expanding with the aim to achieve successful delivery of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and also in meeting the transport ministry’s vision to comply with Smart City mobility solutions, the statement adds.
