Two lanes of Al Furousiya Street leading from Al Furousiya Roundabout (Equestrian roundabout) towards Al Rayyan al Jadeed Street will be closed from Thursday for five months.
During this period, traffic will be diverted to two temporary lanes parallel to the closed section of Al Furousiya Street (as shown on the map).
Al Furousiya Street Development Project is aimed at increasing the number of lanes to four in each direction with a service road on both sides of the street to enhance traffic flow and accommodate current and future traffic requirements.
The project also includes converting Al Furousiya and Muaither roundabouts into signal-controlled intersections.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the closure. The authorities have requested road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
