Rain and thunder are expected in the country today along with strong winds, the Qatar Met department has said. The weather office has also issued a warning for thundershowers, windy conditions and high seas in offshore areas today. On Sunday, the department had said in a report that the chances of rain were likely to continue until the coming weekend. Today’s detailed forecast says the wind speed may go up to 25 knots in both inshore and offshore areas during thundershowers, with the sea level rising to 7ft. It will be cloudy at times and there is a chance of rain in some places, which may be thundery at times.
