The General Traffic Department, represented by the Traffic Awareness Department, has honoured Doha Bank for its efforts in supporting the recent Traffic Week event along with its active contribution to the development of the welfare of the community in Qatar.
The ceremony took place as part of the Traffic Week activities conclusion held recently under the patronage of General Directorate of Traffic (GDT) director Brigadier Mohamed Saad al-Kharji, Brigadier General Mohamed Marafie, Colonel Mohamed Radi al-Hajri, and Major Jaber Odaiba.
On behalf of Doha Bank, Ahmed Ali al-Hanzab, head of Administration Department at Doha Bank, and Braik al-Marri, acting Chief Retail Banking officer, received a commemorative shield and an appreciation certificate in recognition of the bank’s efforts.
Al-Hanzab affirmed that the support provided by Doha Bank for the development and welfare of the community aims at serving the whole community through permanent and effective participation in various social programmes, with corporate social responsibility being Doha Bank’s top priority.
The recent 34th Traffic Week activities, organised by the Traffic Department, were held under the theme ‘Your Life is a Trust’ with the aim of protecting individuals and properties from accidents by raising traffic awareness among all segments of the society, and by educating the community about traffic rules and laws.
