The North-West exit and service road will be closed at Umm Lekbah interchange in the direction from the northern side to Doha starting from Saturday, March 31.
Road users from Al Shamal to Doha wishing to exit the interchange to reach Al Gharrafa area and the commercial complexes, including LuLu Hypermarket and Gulf Mall, should use Al Oyoun Street.
Al Oyoun Street was expanded and a new traffic signal has been installed at its intersection with Al Itihad Street (as shown on the map). The intersection of Al Ittihad and Al Hana streets were also expanded.
The closure is required to enable construction work on bridges for Umm Lekbah interchange.
Ashghal will install signs to guide road users to alternative routes. Road users have been asked to abide by the speed limit and follow signs to ensure safety.
