The Emiri Navy Forces yesterday celebrated the graduation of officers’ training courses for 2017-2018 in the presence of HE the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Major-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem. The Department of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defence said in a statement that the courses that were graduated included Marine Course No 2, which lasted for 34 weeks and included general navigation, navigation, navigational equipment, collision prevention law and practical training on the tower’s signs of command and control. The 18-week foundation Communication Course included basic communications, satellite communications, electronic warfare and search and rescue signals. The 18th anti-submarine warfare course, which lasted for 18 weeks, included an introduction to the combat against submarines, underwater devices and equipment, submarine operations and the search for naval mines. The statement said that these courses were attended by a number of officers from the sisterly State of Kuwait.
