Qatar Fuel (Woqod) recently opened its New Salata petrol station – the second station to open this year and the 60th across the company’s total network of petrol stations around the country.
Woqod CEO Saad Rashid al-Muhannadi said: “Woqod aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products, and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort. Woqod is currently engaged in 28 petrol station projects, most of these projects are expected to be operational this year.”
New Salata is spread over a 9,634.43sqm area and offers round-the-clock services to residents of the New Salata area. It includes a Sidra convenience store, auto wash facility, auto repair, tyre services, and sale of LPG cylinders, in addition to sale of gasoline and diesel products. The station also serves school buses.
The station is also equipped with Woqod’s unique RFID based electronic payment service WOQODe.
Woqod “is sincerely grateful” to all public and civil authorities that contributed to the completion of the project, Woqod said in a statement.
