Ooredoo has announced that the Ooredoo App free 10MB (on weekdays) and 100MB (on weekends) giveaway has seen a “huge demand” since the offer launch in 2016.
Currently, more than 300,000 users log in to the Ooredoo App daily to receive their reward, which is given by the company as a “thank you to customers for their loyalty and continued use of its self-service app”, Ooredoo has said in a statement.
To claim the data, users need to select their service number and then the ‘Deal’ tile in the latest app version. The app can be downloaded via Ooredoo.qa/app or customers can SMS ‘App’ to 114. Free data will be valid until midnight on the day of activation.
To make the most of the free data offer, which is available until March 31, Ooredoo has advised customers to opt-in to the daily deal early, especially on weekends when the reward is 100MB per day.
Talking about the demand for the data, Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, Ooredoo’s director of PR and corporate communications, said: “The free data initiative was designed to ensure that our customers stay connected even when running out of credit, as well as promote our award-winning app. With the Ooredoo App customers can check their balance, maintain subscriptions, resolve issues and much more on the go.”
Ooredoo App, which was launched in 2013, is available for iOS and Android users and has an average score rating of 4.3 on the iTunes store.
Ooredoo’s customers who use the app also receive personalised deals based on their profile and usage.
